Vintage Lesney Matchbox Divided Collector Carry Case with 26 Metal Matchbox Cars, Made in England, Lesney Products & Co 1966
This vintage collection of 26 matchbox cars and collectors case was made by the Lesney Corp in England circa 1960's
Matchbox is a popular toy brand which was introduced by Lesney Products in 1953, and is now owned by Mattel, Inc, which purchased the brand in 1997. The brand was given its name because the original die-cast "Matchbox" toys were sold in boxes similar to those in which matches were sold.
This collection of 26 cars vary from sports cars, utility vehicles like dump trucks to a police car and my fav... an ice cream truck!
Some cars have 'people' in them with working parts!!
The entire set is vintage 1960's ...loved and used therefore there is rubbing noted on the cars and
the case is intact with rubbing on the edges and a broken handle
