McCoy American Art Pottery Co Pineapple Cookie Jar
This Vintage -Very Midcentury Cool McCoy Pottery Pineapple Cookie Jar is very good condition.
The pineapple has been the symbol of hospitality since colonial times.
The fruit symbolizes those intangible assets we appreciate in a home: warmth, welcome, friendship and hospitality.
What better way to share those things than with a pineapple cookie jar filled to the brim!!!
It was made by the McCoy Pottery Co which was founded in 1910 as the Nelson McCoy Sanitary Stoneware Company, the Roseville, Ohio company produced many highly sought-after collectibles, especially their cookie jars, which the company started producing in the 1930s. McCoy closed in 1990, but the company's decorative stoneware continues to be a favorite among collectors.
This pineapple cookie jar was made between 1955-1957, it has no chips or cracks but as seen in pictures there is some crazing on the bottom and about a 1/4 way up on the inside which is not seen on the exterior.
The bottom is marked McCoy.
It measures 10 1/2" tall x 6 1/2" in diameter.
