Nescafe Metal Advertising Tin, Nestle Corp Circa 1930's

Sorry, this item has sold.

This 1930's Nescafe Coffee advertising memorabilia is in good vintage condition.
It has a bright red background with yellow wording boldly reading Nescafe and it's maker Nestle on the front. Instructions on how to prepare the powdered coffee are listed on the sides.

There is minor scratches and rubbing of paint on the surface due to use and age but no dents and only surface rusting as noted in pictures.
The lid removes easily.
It measures 3 1/2" x 2 1/2" diameter and is a great vintage midcentury kitchen decor item

Nestlé began developing a coffee brand in 1930.
It began in 1929, Nestlé was challenged to help preserve the surplus coffee beans in Brazil that resulted from the Wall Street crash and Nestlé accepted the challenge.
The Nestle coffee bean specialist, Max Morgenthaler, was on a mission to create a delicious cup of coffee simply by adding water.
Max and his team worked hard to find a new way to make instant coffee that would retain the coffee’s natural flavor.
In 1938, they found the answer, and NESCAFÉ was born. Named by using the first three letters in Nestlé and suffixing it with ‘café’, NESCAFÉ became the new name in coffee
Nestlé introduced the new product under the brand name "Nescafé" on 1 April 1938. Nescafé is a soluble powdered coffee that became an American staple during World War II

Why are shipping costs so high?

The shipping cost is determined by the postal service which is described below Due to the various sizes and weights of the items in my shop I unfortunately cannot offer free shipping
I utilize the USPS for shipping all packages and have found them to be the most economical and reliable

USPS has discontinued Regional Rate Box prices. This means that this mail class is no longer available
USPS uses Cubic Pricing rates which are determined by package dimensions and distance traveled instead of weight
